SHIP GRETA.

Yesterday afternoon the ship Greta, of Liverpool, arrived in port from Brisbane. She left the roads in Morcton Bay ou the Slat ult., and wajjclear of Cape Moretou at midnight. For the following three days moderate N.N.E. winds were experienced, then lighc variable winds for the next four days. Cape Farewell was gssed on the 3rd iust.,and iv the passage rough the straits a fierce N. W. gale was encountered, accompanied with torrents of rain and vivid lightning. The straits were cleared at midnight, when Cape Campbell was passed. After this the gale moderated and gave place to a S.W. wind, which continued to arrival. The Greta has been chartered by Messrs Kaye and Carter. She brings UOO cons of coal for this port, and when she is clear of her inward cargo Rhe loads for the Home markets on account of the Kaiapoi Milling Company.
