TIME BALL LYTTELTON.

The time ball Is dropped daily, Sundays and holidays excepted, at 1 o'clock p.m., NfiW Zealand mean time, which is equivalent to 13.30 Greenwich mean cime of the previous day, being calculated for the fff 30* East Longitude, and liar 30min fast of Greenwich mean time. The ball will be raised at about 2min to Ip.m., and will be at the top about lmin to 1 p.m. When taking the time be careful to Bote the exaco moment the ball leaves the top of the mast. Should the bail not drop at the proper time, it will be kepc at the cop for ac least two minutes, and then lowered slowly.
