(PBSSS ASSOCIATION TKLS9RAM.) WELLINGTON, February 2. A nautical enquiry was held to-day into the steamer Pukaki atxiking & reck in OhftU Bay •on the morning of 17th January while on a voyage from Weatport to Wellington. The evidence showed that the Pukaki waa coming into the bay for shelter, the weather being very stormy. The Court held Captain Oliver should have used more precautions to ascertain his position than he did, and that had the log been used it would have been apparent that the vessel was nearer Ohau Bay than was indicated by the bearings.
