fPER PRBSS ASSOCIATION ] Received April 6th, 6.10 a.m. Berlin, April 5. Much surprise was expressed here at the haste exhibited by the United States Government in sending warships to Samoa to take the place of those destroyed by the recent hurricane. It is asserted, that the action on the part of the American authorities was the only reason for the action of Germany in despatching war vessels to Samoa.

Berlin, April 6. The Emperor William will inspect the Alexandrine.

The corvette Sophie, now stationed on the East Coast of Africa, has been ordered to proceed to Samoa.
