The monthly meeting ot the Board was held at I the Boad Board Offioe on Thursday, Deoember md. Present — Nioholls (Chairman), Barker, Brown. Duncan and O'Bailoran. Be Terrace road—The Chairman reported that he had agreed with Mr Armstrong to have a portion of Terrace road, fronting on neotion 81tJ3, conveyed to Mr Armstrong within twelve moatha, on condition that no obstruction is placed on the road, ana that the obstruction placed there be at onoe removed, which has been done. The Clerk was instructed to write to the Chief Surveyor, asd ask huri to send a Surveyor to moke the necessary survey, so that a conveyance may be made out. Alto, to write to the Chief Surveyor to get Brodortok's road, Qlentul Forest, plotted. To notify that the bridge over Peep creek, Oloatni, is unsafe for traffic and that persons uaiag it will do so at their own risk. Mr Donald Brook waited on the Board re contract for lengthening culvert opposite Carboys. He stated that owing to there being so mnoh water he had been nnable to get any. thing done. Asa considerable amount of damage has been done to the oulvert and the embankment since ho took the aontract he asked to be allowed extra for thia. On consideration it was decided te invite fresh tenders tot the work, to ba;a»nt in by Thursday, December 16th, the Chairman to accept a tender if considered aaUataotory. Respecting opening the road through Mr STorten'aland it was decided to pat in culverts where necessary. It was decided to improve the sharp bond at junotiou with the Quarry and Taaffe's tilon roads. Tho Clerk was instructed to get a conveyance for a piece of land used as a road at Karetn in exchange for the original line, and to arrauge to get the fenoes moved to the proper line Corres. posdence was read and dealt with. It was decided to give Mr Jas. Dixon permission to atraigbtaa tba creek at tho. corner of section 3998, on condition that he will be responsible tor anydamage that may bo done by tho diversion. Tenders were opened for work advertised, and one aoooptod. Attention was drawn to the weak stato of some of the bridge* in the district. Tho Clerk to inspect, and report to tho next mooting of the Board. To write to Mr Smart as to particulars of fence required at road deviation, section 32418, I/obnnu- Kowai rood. The Clerk's report was read and considered. Mr Brady's application to bo allowed to take the storm water along the fence at Gravel Reserve 2057. Granted ; Mr Brady to bear halt cost of same. It was decided to invite tenders for the purohaso Of the-grass growing on ths Recreation Reserve, to be sent in by Thursday, December 16th. Resolved—To advor. tiso for a supply of dog collars for 1887. The contract for erecting suspension bridgo over tho Makirikiri having been thrown up, it was decided to roadvertiee. Resolved—That some repairs be done to Lobvrn-Kowai road, between Loburn station and section 12515. The Clark was instructed;: to see where a suitable piece ot land tor a gravel pit can be got at Glentui. Ao.ousts amounting to *fi97 Its 6d were passed for pay man t, and the Board adjourned. _
