The regular meeting of this Board was held os the 80th November. Present—Mr James flammack iin the chair), Messrs Chamberlain, Herrick, 'annett and Tod. Correspondence was read— 1 From the Selwyn County Council, forwarding plan of proposed.' artditlon to Waimakariri water-race, ana requesting the some to be left on view for ose month. From the some, stating the grant for small birds nuisance would be renewed this year, and forwarding-cheque for £6 9s 3d for dog fees. From the' Commissioner, Crown Lands, stating that a small piece of land near the Selwyn would b* gazetted as a gravel reserve. From the Land, Transfer OSes, stating that the grant tmt

Oanplaiats were rewired from ratepayers that stock were being allowed to roam on the roads. The poaadkeeper i was instructed te remedy the same. Frost A Roseoe, requesting the Board to increase the drainage along hia auction. Besolved that the Clerk see Messrs Boeooe and Hurst re the drain tramway reserve, and Mcertaia what contribution they will giro towarda a new drain, and report en the practicability aad cost of same by next Board day. From Messrs McDonald, F. C. Murray and five other*, requesting a new bridge to be put on MoDonald's road. Besolved that the application be postponed till next meeting, and tout the Clerk report on the coat ot same and, asoertain what the petitioners were wtlllnr to pay! towards the cost of same. From Messrs Bier, man, Magon and fine others, asking tor part ot Davidson's road to be formed and shingled. Besolved, that tenders be called for tbe work as soon aa possible From Mr J MoDeuaM, objecting to the proposal to ont s drain on Mahanke's road, and siring his reasons against same. Messrs B. Callaghan. Eimber, Hunter and Gerken waited upon the Board, and urged the necessity for doing the work. The Board decided to meet on the road and inspect the place previous to coming to any decision on the matter. From Mr B. Kennedy, wishing his name to be erased from a prerlons petition asking for the work to be done. Mr Lewis Hamilton waited upon the Board, and asked for the drain along Carter's read te bs deep along his section, and promised to pay halt cost ot same. The Board decided to do the work ss part ot the same drain had been deepened previously. Surveyor's report read. BesolTed, that the Board take six feet of land along Quarterly drain, and ithat the Clerk S'.ve notice to Messrs Staples, F. 8. Murray and T. race to dear the roads of gorse opposite their propertibe. BesolTed that the amount of £3900 maturing on fixed deposit be divided as follows .— £2500 be deposited for twelve months. £800 for six months, and £300 for three months. £200 to current aoconat. Resolved that the principal streets in Lincoln be formed, and that tenders be called for shingling end formation at Oreeepark, spreading clay on Bethell's Junction road, leasing reserve at Selwyn, and for a Ponndkeeper at pnbHo pound at Springston. Tenders were opeued forth"pound yards, when that of Alsop MoClintook for £91 was accepted. It was resolved to purchase birds' heads, eggs, and black birds tame as lsst year, members and the Clerk to receive same. Accounts amounting to .£153 were passed for payment, when the Board adjourned.
