Ipbbss ASSOCIATION TSI—GBAM.J WELLINGTON, December 36. New Volunteer regulations are gazetted to-night. They come into force on Ist January. The Order in Council made in October last re a close season for mullet has waej* revoked, and the regulations are gazetted making the months of December, Janutiy and February a olote season for the fish, A Gasstte notice states that curlews have" ceased to be native game. Major Burns, of the N.Z. Begt. Artillery, is appointed Major in the New Zealand Militia.
Inspectors of Police throughout the colony are gazetted Justices of the Peace. ' Conditions for netting trout in the lakes in the North Canterbury Acclimatisation district are gazetted. The season for netting shall extent from this date to April 15th, 1887.
The Gazette notifies that hares may be killed in the Ashley and Cost road districts from this date.
District Court aittibgt in lieu of those previously fixed shall take place for civil b——neas in the Court—ouse, Ashburton, on. 4th January, 14th March, 16th May, llthf July, 19th September, and 9th December. Begulations under the Deeds and Instruments Registration Act are gazetted. *
