'. Mails close for the following places as under (subject to tbe necessary alterations): — SATURDAY, JANUARY 27. For Kaikonra, per Wanaka, at 1.45 p.m.; late fee letters, at 2 p.m.; guard a van, 2.4 op.m.train. "' - .. j. * For the United Kingdom, Continents of Europe and America, West Indiea, Cape of Good Hope, &c., &c. (via San Francisco), Sandwich —lands, and Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Hawea, as follows. — Ordinary letters at 6.30 p.m. late fee letters, 7p.m.; books and newspapers, 6.30 p.m.; registered letters, 5 p.m.; monej orders, 3 p.m.; guard's van, 8.15 p.m. tram. This mail will be due in London on March 12th.
The Savings Bank at Sydenham will not open on Saturday night after the end of this month. .
