ADDINGTON LIVE STOCK MARKET
Wednesday. A moderate attendance of buyers throughout the day. Fat Sheep—A smaller supply than has been yarded for some time past. Business began very brisk on a few pens of superior quality and weight, 13s 6d being given for the crossbreds, and 12s for merinos, and an increase of values was maintained throughout the sale, caused however only by the extremely limited supply; 2d may be quoted as the average rate per lb. Store Sheep—Some good lines of crossbred two-tooths and merinos on offer, the former maintaining late high rates, and the latter meeting with fairly good inquiry. Fat Lambs—A plentiful supply, some extra quality being on offer, values ruling from 6s to 9s per head, j Pig3—Little doing. Fat Cattle—An aver- j age entry. Inquiry and prices a shade better than of late, though still low, the day's sales being effected at about 20s per I lOOlbs. Store Cattle—Not' la large entry. | For well-grown fresh conditioned stock demand is fairly good at proportionately higher rates than are ruling for fat cattle, or backward young stock values are still erylow.. . .
