CARLETON.

The annual meeting of householders was held in the schoolroom on Monday evening, January 22nd. Mr Carter was voted to the chair.—The Chairman read the statement of last year's accounts, which showed a

credit balance of J613, and were adopted.— A vote of thanks was passed to the outfoing Committee, and the following were uly elected for the ensuing year:—R. H. Carter, H. Engelbrecht, H. Little, J. Skurr, A. Winter, H. Kennedy, H. Steffens—At a subsequent meeting of the Committee Mr R. H. Carter was re-elected Chairman.
