Lee, Esq., J.P.J " Darar Airo Disoedbbit.—lsabella Lsckie, against whom a host of previous conviotions are' recorded, and who was discharged from gaol during the present week, was oharged with this offence. Prisoner begged hard for another chance. After being cautioned that if she was again brought up she would be severely dealt with, she was discharged. Yasbancx. —William Benson was charged with having no lawful visible means of support. Detective.Neill. deposed that for the last nine months he had known prisoner as an associate of thieves and a frequenter of hotel bars; that he had been twice convicted on the West-Coast and also imprisoned here. Detective Benjamin corroborated the evidence. In reply to the Bench, prisoner said he had been potato digging and had recently tried to get work; if allowed to go at large he would clear out up country. The Bench cautioned
him that if found in Christohurch in fortyeight hours' time he would be again arrested. Discharged.
