Wednesday, August 21. bills advanced. In the Council this afternoon tho Trades Unions Bill was read a third time and passed. The Interpretation Bill was referred to a Select Committee. The Land Claims Final Settlement Bill was read a gecond time, and referred to the Waste L'lnds Committee. The Waitaki High School Bill was referred to the Local Bills Committee, and the Executive Councillors Bill passed through committee with an amendment moved by Mr WaterhouHe. Mr MiLiiEß moved the second reading of the Oamaru Waterworks Bill; but the debate was interrupted by the adjournment.
