A fair amount of business has been done during the month-with a steady import trade. Betailers have been, less quiet than .during the previous nionth; ah&are hopeful of a \ further improvement. The prio*,, of wheat has fluctuated between Ss'Od and Ss'lOd per' bushel, but it now remains fiirni ! a% the latter figure, and an advance to 4s ie looked for TMb rise -in fheprice of wheat has been brought about by the recent advices as to the' state of 'the' Australian markets, where an increase has taken Folr oats, the quotation is from 2s 6d to 2s whilst old oats are held at 3s. Barley ranges from 3s 6d to 4s per bushel. Flour remains'htu£l2 to £13 per ton.
