GENTiEMEN,— A vacancy having occurred in the representation of your district in the Provincial Council by the resignation of Mr. Rickman, I beg to offer myself as a' 1 candidate for your suffrages, and solicit your support. Although the next will, in all probability, he the last session. of the Council prior to a general election, it behoves mc to announce to you what line of policy I shall generally support, and further to remind jou why you should consider mc favorably as your future member. During the last two years I have been publicly before you as Chairman of the Road Board of your district, and have endeavored as suoh, by steady application and impartial justice, to discharge my duties, which I trust I hove done to the satisfaction of a large majority, if not all. The large stake which I have in this district, not only as a sheep farmer, but also as a freeholder in different parts, will be the best guarantee I can offer that I shall do my utmost to protect all interests.
