Notice is hereby given, that in pursuance of the provisions of the Public House Ordinance, 1862, a General Meeting of Justices of the Peace for the Province will bo held at tho Resident Magistrate's Court House, at Christchurch, on Tuesday the Seventh day of April next, at tho hour of Eleven o'clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of taking into consideration applications for Publican's Licenses. NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC. it has this day been proved to ▼ T tho satisfaction of us, the undersigned, being three of her Majesty's Justices of the Peace, acting tn and for the colony of New* Zealand, and sitting llt tho Resident Magistrate's Court at Christchurch, in the said Province and Colony, that one Mary Ann Robertson, of Christchurch, who is described at tho foot of this notice, has become an habitual drunkard, and is injuring her health by excessivo drinking, wo hereby, under the provisions of tho thirty-third clause of tlio Public House Ordinanco, 1862, give notico that we prohibit all persons from supplying tho said Mary Ann Robertson with any spirituous or fermented liquor whatever, for the space of two years from the date hereof: And wo also give notice that any person who shall knowingly supply or cause to be supplied to the said Mary Ana Robertson any spirituous or fermented liquor whatever during tho space of two years from tha date hereof is liable to a penalty of Twenty Pounds (£2O) sterling, or to bo imprisoned with or without hard labor for the term of three , calendar months.
