THE FINE ARTS. IT is proposed to establish a society for the promotion of tho Fine Arts iv the Province of Canterbury. The object will be, Ist. To establish an annual exhibition of works of Art, including both originals and copies, oil colour paintings, water colour drawings, photographs, engravings, i.e. 2nd. To establish a School of Design. 3rd. To lav the foundation of a permanent Gallery of Works of Art, It is proposed that the annual subscription of a member should be ten shillings. Persons wishing to become members are requested to communicate with H. F. Worsl.y, Secretary, pro. tern., or to any member of the Provisional Committee.
