THE FINE ARTS. IT is proposed to establish a society for the promotion of the Tine Arts in the Province of Canterbury. The object will be, Ist. To establish an annual exhibition of works of Art, including both originals and copies, oil colour paintings, water colour drawings, photographs, engravings, &c. 2ml. To establish a School of Design. 3rd. To lay tho foundation of a permanent Gallery of Works of Art. It is proposed that the annual subscription of a member should be ton shillings. Persons wishing to become members are requested to communicate with 11. F. Worsley, Secretary, pro. tern., or to any member of the Provisional Committee.
