R.S.A. Concerns Itself Further With War Medals
Further investigations concerning the possibility of engraving medals earned by servicemen and women of the Second World War are to be made by the Dominion executive of the N.Z.R.S.A.
Announcing this, the latest issue of th® N.Z.R.S.A. “Review” says:—.
Several associotions have forwarded suggestions to overcome the difficulty of the issue of war medals without the regimental number and name of the recipient being engraved on them. At its latest meeting on April 4, the N.Z.R.S.A. Dominion executive committee instructed its emergency committee to investigate the practicability of these suggestions. The Emergency committee, which consists of the Dominion president, the Dominion vice-president, and the Dominion treasurer, intends to examine all the suggestions as thoroughly as possible within the next, few days. This decision was made in view of widespread disappointment at the non-engraving of the medals prior to issue.
