CALF CLUB WORK TO BE GIVEN A WIDER SCOPE
The annual general meeting of the Rangitaiki Plains Boys’ and Girls’ Calf Club Association is to be held in the Awakeri School tomorrow evening. Education Boards throughout the Dominion are now placing great emphasis on club activities and in the near future agricultural club work is likely to be extended to include cropping and pastoral research, with a view to stressing herd improvement through better feeding.
Last year four hundred delegates Representing breed , societies, A. and P. Societies farmers, agricultural instructors and teachers met at Hamilton to formulate the future of the movement in this area, and as a result all clubs in the Auckland Province have agreed to a definite plan. But the help of parents and well-wishers is essential to its success.
