Question Before Tauranga Harbour Board The question ot wharfage payment on sleepers is to be referred by the Tauranga Harbour Board to the Harbours’ Association. The report ot the secretary (Mr W. J. Walker) to (he monthly meeting of the board mentioned that an account had been sent to the Railways Department for wharfage on the recent consignment of sleepers brought by the Viria on her last voyage. This account had been returned bv the department, who advised that the sleepers were Government goods and were not liable to wharfage.
