JET-PROPELLED LOGS
Sir,—The letter of "Onward and Upward" would appear to be evidence of a sad case of mental breakdown following the perusal of a report of a farmers' meeting. L the strain is not too great he should read the report again and note the decision of the meeting as well as the observation of the member who said that log-carrying was now pcssible by plane. The chairman does not appear to have been impressed bv its feasibility. If "Onward and Upward" had remained rational he would have challenged the member to substantiate his statement. However, since such ordinary subjects to farmers
as roads, rates, stryanig cattle and meat works seem to be too difficult for him, he is sympathetically advised to confine his activities in future to such subjects as are within his mental capacity.—l am, etc., "VISION."
