N.Z. APPLES FOR AMERICA
17,000 CASES DESTINED FOR LONDON (P.A.) Napier, March 14. Dollar-earning apples are to be loaded at Napier, a consignment of 29,000 cases of the Delicious variety being for New York in the Port Phillip, which i's due this week. In addition the ship will take 17,000 cases for London. The shipment for the United States is consistent with the announcement last week by Mr H. Turner, chairman of the Apple and Pear Marketing Board, that a small quantity of apples would be shipped to America this season.
TWO HOSPITAL SITES APPROVED
MEETING OF WAIKATO
BOARD
(P.A.) Hamilton, March 14. The purchase of six acres of land on the Te Awamutu - Cambridge road, just outside the Te Awamutu borough boundary, as a site for a hospital, was approved by the Waikato Hospital Beard today. The board also decided to complete the arrangements for the purchase of six acres of land at Raglan as a hospital site. The purchase has had the approval of the Minister of Health.
