The co-ordinating committee of the Allied Comtrol Council has informed the Allied Kommandatura, which supervises the municipal administration of Berlin, that it has approvej recognition cf the city committee of the Social Democratic Party and of the Socialist Unity Tarty in Berlin. This decision, which apparently was reached without serious dilficnlty, brings to an end a curious political situation, says the Times Berlin correspondent. Fusion of the Communist Party with a minority of dire Social Democratic Party in Berlin was effected at Easter, when the parties merged in the Russian zone. -The majority of the Berlin Social Democrats, however, decided to maintain the old party.
