CATHOLIC WOMEN'S LEAGUE

MONTHLY MEETING HELD The monthly meeting of the Tauranga branch of the Catholic Women's League was held in St. Mary's Hall on Wednesday, April 12, Mrs McKenna presiding. As it was an open afternoon, there were a large number of visitors present, including Mrs Philpot, president of the Morrinsville branch of the Catholic Women's League. During the afternoon,. a presentation of a chromium vase was made to a member, Miss N. McKenna, on the eve of her marriage, and items were rendered by the following:— Mrs Black, recitation; Miss Lilah Black, two songs; Miss Moira Gilmore Rodgers, two dances. A jumbled film star competition was won by Miss Lilah Black. The soldier's parcel this month was won by Mr Foster.

Afternoon tea was then served by the hostesses, bringing to a close a happy afternoon.
