My 8 lx.p. car has covered only 4,500 miles.—^“W-rJ.” A. —Within a feAV hundred miles of a distributor being put into serAdce burning can be noted at the tip of the rotor arm electrode, as is natural in Anew of the very highvoltage spark that takes place between the rotor electrode and the fixed electrode in the cover. After this initial burning, however, the condition remains practically stationary for many thousands of miles, and it is not necessary to fit a new rotor arm until the gap between the end of the rotor electrode and the fixed electrode in the co\er has widened appreciably. There is not likely to be any need to worry regarding the condition of the rotor unless, of course, the pitting is excessive and has appreciably widened the gap.
