Fined for Wasting Petrol
A lorry driver has been fined £ 1 at Cardiff for using petrol so as to cause waste.
A police officer stated that he saw the lorry with the engine running outside an hotel. An hour later the driver arrived, and said; “I have only been in there a minute or two. If I stopped the engine I could not start it again.” The driver was also fined 15s. and costs for leaving the lorry without stopping th!e engine and applying the brakes.
