HOME GUARD

A meeting to organise the local Home Guard is advertised' for Tuesday night in the Civic. Major J. H. Herrold of Rotorua (district commander), will address the meeting to which all citizens are invited. Everyone over 16 is eligible for service in the Home Guard. SPECIAL UNIFORM Wellington, Jan. 10. For New Zealand’s Home Guard, a special uniform has been approved, according to Col. R. St. J. Beere, officer commanding the Wellington District at a conference at Napier this week. It was stated that the design followed closely the style worn by the overseas forces.
