HIGHER PETROL TAX
PKOTEST BY FARMERS The' increase of 4d per gallon in the. taxation on benzine was discussed at the last meeting of the Morrinsville branch of the Farmers’ Union, when a resolution, which will be forwarded to the Auckland executive of the union, was passed as follows: “That while we as farmers, are willing to' bear our fair share of the cost of national defence we strongly object to the increased petrol tax befcause it is an unjust burden on benzine users, especially the farming industry.”
