CLEARING SALE
BRICES AT PAEXGAROA The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd. reports as follows on the clearing sale of sheep, farm implements, etc., held at Paengaroa on account of Mr P. Godinagh. There was a good attendance of buyers from local and outside districts, including the Waikato. The breeding ewes were in fair condition and although a total clearance was effected bidding was not very keen. The shearing plant and range of implements met with a ready sale and highly satisfactory prices were realised. The following was the range of prices:Breeding ewes, mostly 6 years, 19s to £1; aged ewes, in lamb, 10s to 15s. The line of 260 wether hoggets made 10s lOd.
Bay filly, 2 years, £ls; chestnut colt, foal, £5 10s. Implements.— Fordson tractor, £142; shearing machine, £6l; woolpress, £2l; colonial drill, £lB 10s: waggon, £l6; disc harrows, £9 to £l2; topdresser, £10; hayrake, £IL McCormick mower, £7 10s; maize sheller, £S; maize grinder, £5 ss: Alfa harrows, £5 10s; Whakatane harrows, £5; cultivator, £4 10s; maize planter, £3 10s.
