TE AROHA MATTERS

VISIT OF MU C. H. m'KNiriT, M.P. Mr C. H. Burnett, M.P., returned from Te Aroha by the mail train last night. While in Te Aroha he addressed a meeting of members of the Chamber of Commerce on the proposal to install a mineral tepid swimming bath and filtration system in the Te Aroha Domain. At the conclusion of the meeting it was resolved to ask the Mayor of Te Aroha (associated with the Chamber) to call a public meeting of all interested in the proposal. • Mr Burnett also attended a meeting of the Te Aroha-Thames Valley Company’s Directors to discuss the question of zoning, at which meeting other dairy factory representatives attended. During his visit to Te Aroha Mr Burnett met members of the School Committee in regard to the general improvements to be effected to the school grounds. After the inspection Mr Burnett had morning tea with the Headmaster and the staff and later addressed the 300 children attending the school on “Road Sense.”
