HORSE FAIRS. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report having held their Annual Autumn Horse Fairs at Whakatane and Te Puke recently, when horses came forward in fully advertised number?. Buyers were present from Auckland, Waikito, Wanganui, Palmerston, Opotiki and Tauranga districts. Owing no doubt to the shortage of feed settlers were anxious to meet the market and although prices were in favour of purchasers very successful clearances at both sales are reported.
