GENERAL ELECTION
MR. COULTER'S CAMPAIGN. -Mr R. Coulter, the Nationalist candidate for the Tuuranga electorate, additsscd a meeting at Maketu yesterday alter noon. He was accorded an atteutito hearing and at (he close received a ■ vote of thanks and confidence. Mr Coulter addressed a meeting in the Alliance Hull at Te Puke last nighr ; .Mr H. O. Cooney (chairman of die le Puke Town Board) presiding a la i ge attendance. The candidate spoke for over two hours, and dealt with hanking, pensions, highways, bousing, and other matters. .Mr Omiter vas accorded a very hearty reception and during the course of his address was frequently applauded. Many questions were asked and satisfuctorily answerod. A vote of thanks a.ml confidence was carried by acclamation. After the conclusion of the address, a large hotly of electors waited and nie f Air Coulter, ami expressed their gicat delight at the impression created by the candidate. They also expressed themselves as confident that he would receive a large vote in To Puke. Mr Coulter will deliver his final address of the campaign on the Strand at 7.30 this evening, when lie will reply to the Reform candidate, and will further propound his policy.
