The commission charged by the Public Trustee for the administration of estates has recently been substantially re. duoed. With a few miner exceptions commission on, the capital of estates when realised is now charged according to the fol--lawi n g sea 1e; On the first £5,000, 2 \ per cent. On the next £5,000, per cent. On the next £40,000, 1 per cent. On excess of £50,000, 3-4 per cent. When assets are transferred in kind the charges are : On the first £5,000, li per , cent. On the next £5,000, 1 per cent. On all in excess of £IO,OOO, -k per cent. The commission charged on rent or on interest on mortgages has been reduced from 5 per cent to 2$ per cent on amounts in excess of £SOO per annum. The Public Trustee has power to reduce the charge when such a course is warranted, and reductions are readily made in suitable cases. j Full particulars x>f the charges made for the administration of estates will be supplied on application to the Public Trustee, Wellington, or at any Branch of the Public Trust Office.
