Up to the present 1245 outbreaks cl' foot and mouth disease in England have- been notified, ami 41,183 cattle and 42,173 sheep, pigs and goats slaughtered.
The Government has paid £1,246, 000 in compensation.
The Christmas fat stock shows at. Doncaster and Newcastle have been abandoned.
The Agricultural Department of the Irish Free State as a precaution against the introduction of foctaud mouth disease, has ordered the destruction of all hay and straw packing material capable of use as fodder or litter from ail imported merchandise.
