Auckland, Feb 14
A wedding party was leaving a house in the city when the police arrested the prospective bride on a charge of having insufficient visible meansypf support. She appeared in the police court where it was stated the prospective bridegroom was a man of good character, and that the couple - were about to leave for Sydney, where the bride's people lived. The magistrate granted a remand for two weeks, when, if everything is satisfactory, the charge will be withdrawn. The couple then left the court for the registry office.
