Populace Overjoyed at Result of Plebiscite^

There are intense rejoicings in Schleswig, though the final result of the plebiscite has not yet been declared. Crowds thronged the streets of all the towns and villages, awaiting the returns. When it was seen that reunion with Denmark was assured the Schleswigers made festival. Bands played the Allies' anthems and the inhabitants hung national flags.
