DEATH OF AN INFANT

Wilfully Murderel Dunedin, Feb 10

On January 20 the body of a newly-born infant was found in a sack on the second beach at St Clair, and with a piece of linen tied tightly round its neck. The inquest was adjourned and resumed yesterday, when the coroner returned a verdict that the cause of death was asphyxia, and that oeceased was wilfully murdered by some persons or person unknown.
