Appeal for Funds.

There was only a moderate attendance at the Town Hall on Wednesday evening when a meeting, addressed by Messrs H. M. Smeeton and E. C/ Brawnell, was held in aid of the appeal of the Young Men's Christian Association for a sum of £25,000 from ■ the Auckland district to be devoted to the work of the Association among our BoldierFcin active service. His Worship the Mayor presided and briefly introduced the speakers. vVe are unable,in .this; issue'to giye a full report of the meeting, but it will appear on Monday.
