AGRICULTURAL SHOW.

TO BE HELD ON FRIDAY.

This year s snow should prove one of the most interesting yet held by the Tauranga Agriculture! ard Pastoral Association. There is a good entry in the light horse section, outside exhibitors being well represented. Amongst the latter are Messrs ,1. McSweeney snd R. E. Burke (Matamata), and Messrs Icnes Taylor and W. Eastwood (Cambridge), who are bringing over a number of good horses. Messrs K. Morton, of Aongafete, and W. O'Halloran and F. Higginsor, of Te Puke, have also entered the lists. Iti the class for 10 stone hack 3 there are 12 herse?,and in 12 stone hacks nine are entered, while there are also nine in the elas3 for cob 3. In the driving competitions tbe entries are better than previous years, and include two ladies from outside districts, viz., Mrs R. E. Burke (Matamata) and Mrs \\ r. Eastwood (Cambridge). The leaping matches give every indication of being keenly co:;t?sted, and the presence of Waikato horse 9 will add considerably to the interest. Mr J. A. McGhie, of Paengaroa Junction, is again represented in rhe draught division. As usuai the cattle section will be one of the feature! cf the exhibition, ard the entries include a large number of pedigree animals, also some excellent fat cattle from Mr T. Tannet's farm. The stock parade Bhould be a sppci 1 attraction, and altogether lovers of good animals wiil find much to interest them. The grounds are in capital condition, and the grass on a large area, from the main entrance gate to the caitle yards, inclnding,the horse rings, has been cut. The committee have been busy in other directions and have the yards and horse rings in order for the reception of the caitle on Friday morning. Tbe luncheon room and refreshment stall will be in the capable hands of Mr 3J. London, who has already made a reputation as a caterer. The executive has all other arrangements well forward, and the society only want 3 a fine day to ensure the success of the gathering.

The following stewards have been appointed:—Light Horses, Messrs J. Darragh, A. Matheson, L. J. B. Grant, and R. Wsllis; Draughts, Messrs T. Lochhead, Tv Moiri and C. Faulkner; Cattle, Messrs R. Badger, W. C. Bell, J. London, and C. Mc> Nanghton; Parade, Messrs D. Taylor and L. J. B. Grant; Stepping, Messrs S. Keßtn and H. J. Bickers; Guessing, Messrs T. Lochhead and C. McNaughton; Traffic, Mr W. E. Rolrina.
