A fir a occurred in Rutland Rtrpet early this mornin? and completely gutted a three-storey brick building owned by Jam^s Webster, contractor flnd builder. WebsW oocunied the cround floor. A local furniture firm had a small quantify of goods on the second floor, and th« third floor wag oceiiDied "hy the Garrison Artill»rv "Rand and Auckland Mounted Rifles Band, which jointly lost music and instruments valued af. £250. which were partly iusnrpd. Webster's insurance on the building: and contents of the first floor amount to £2,500 in the Queensland Office.
