General Sir D. Haig, commander of the British forces in the western theatre, reports : — > Sixteen of our aeroplanes, ou the 17th inst, considerably damaged an enemy depot at Lesars, north-east, of x\lbert.

Nineteen encounters were fought in the air during the day. Five enemy machines were brought down, and we lost two aeroplanes.

A party of our troops raided enemy trenches north of the River Lys, and captured some prisoners.
