Needs More Men.

The High Commissioner reports under date London, January 18th: —

In the House of Commons an amendment in the Compulsion B»H, providing that the Admiralty roust have first call on men was agreed to.

Dr Macnamara (Financial Secretary to the Admiralty) stated that the Admiralty needed thirty thousand mor« men by March and he intended to pre sent a supplementary estimate, raising the maximum from three hundred thousand tc three hundred and fifty thousand men.
