•' Captain MeLeod, tlie: Wild West showman, got himself into
trouble on Saturday night at the Waikato Winter Show. Part of MeLeods performance is to bore holes with bullets through threepenny pieces held by members of the audience and shoot off ash from cigarettes in people's mouths.
A vouug man named Leslie Wilson stood out in the ring smoking and McLcod iired, the bullet entering Wilson's cheek, and fuming an exit through his mouth,'grazing his tongue aud knocking out three teeth. A prosecution is probable.
