MORE CO-OPERATIVE An VENTURERS.
Not discouraged by the failures of the first co-operative expedition to the South Sea Islands another party, headed by Captain M'Lean and Captain Quinton are preparing to leave on their search for wealth and happiness subscribing lOOdols ashare. The barque Mermaid will take the adventurers to the Solomon Ja. lands. She was to leave Nan Franoisco during last month. Many of those who are proceeding to the islands are from the Eastern States of America. The brigantine Percy Edwards, which took the first expedition from San Francisco to Suva, is lo come on to Auokiand shortly to be sold.
