THE REICHSTAG ELECTIONS.
(reuter's telegrams.) Berltn, February 22. Up to the present 221 members have been elected to the Reichstag* Government having a majority of 69 through* out the provinces Socialists and Radicals lost heavily, but in Alsace Government have been defeated in every election. Berlin, February 23. The Emperor William has expressed bimself satisfied with the favourable results of the elections, and will convene »the Reichstag without waiting for the re-ballot of the disputed Socialist scats in Berlin. The general opinion in Vienna is that the result of the German elections is unfavourable to the preservation of peace. London, February 24. The elections in Germany have secured for Prince Bismarck a majority of 86. The French Press are exultant over tbe anti-German feeling manifested by the inhabitants of Alsace. Reuter's telegram says the patriotism of the Alsatians has caused a tremendous sensation in Paris.
