At the farewell to Rev. \V. T. Todd at Rakaia recently Rev. G. K. Aitken created some amusement- by stating that, as' Moderator of the charge, he .hu*J -alrep.-ly received a letter from ouo reverend 'gentleman, -who asked to bo placed in toueh with "a deeoat church, a dceent people and a decent cliuiarto." Mr Aitken said he thought hj« ought to write, "Come at once."
