WHY WOMEN LIVE LONGER.
Reasons why Avomen live longer than mqn are given by a medical correspondent of a London paper. "Undoubtedly the chief reason why men do not live as long as women," he says, "is the somewhat paradoxical one that men keep younger, in the fifties and sixties. Most men, in their pleasures at any rate, at this age indulge, themselves just as much as in their earlier years. "They still feel young and act' as if they were young. Unfortunately their bodies have aged, no matter how young they may feel, and they pay for their 'good time' with a shortened life. Women in their youth take all sorts of liberties with their health, but from SO on fewer inducements to 'eat, drink, and be merry' are put before them as compared, with, mm of Uw same *ge x ».
