Lovells Flat Notes.
(From Our Own Correspondent. A number of friends met at the residence of Mr W. Heads, on Saturday evening, August 21st, to say goodbye to Mr J, Heads, wno has gone to Trenthain with the Eighth Hei'iforcements. The visitors were hospitably entertained by Mr und Mrs Heads, and Mr W. Hewitson, oil behalf of a few* intimate friends of the family presented "jack" with u wristlet watch. Songs and recitations were contributed by several of the visitors. Mr W. Allison lias disposed of his residence to uMr Waggery, who, J. understand, has gone into partnership with Mr J. '.Reade, of "iieuiote" farm. Mr Allison is going on the land at Moneymore. There was quite ii large gathering of friends at Mr D. Hryce's new residence on Friday evening, who met there to give a house warming. jlvli- uryue is die oldest resident ox. The visitors „er<j hcartily wi-lcumed oy tne worthy couple uau a very pleasant evening was spent in parlour games and social intercourse. The lady visitors who had brought baskets with them provided a bountiful supper, and the singing of "Auld lang syne" m the "wee sma' hoors" brought a very pleasant evening to a close.
