He will write his observations in the 'Chicago Herald' and other newspapers in the United States, and after completing his investigations in Poland he will go to Italy, and later will visit the western theatre of war. Mr Piotrowski is provided with credentials from the United States Government. "The conditions in Poland must be something frightful," said Mr Piotrowski. "Vast armies of three warringnations have swept over the country forward and backward a number of times, leaving death and desolation in their wake. According to reports received in the United States an area of about 100,000 square miles is transformed into a wilderness and over 25.000 towns and villages have been wiped out. The people have been dying by thousands daily. There are at least 10,000,000 who are on the verge of starvation."
