A RICH RICE POUND CAKE.

Pour ounces of flour dried and free from lumps, eight ouncen of butter, six egga, twelve ounces of sugir, eighc ounces of ground rice, the gratad rind of a lemon, or a few drops of essenc of lemon will answer the purpose. Beat all well together. The whites of the eggs should be beaten separately from the yolks, and stirred in curefully ten minutes befora the cake ia placed in the oven.
